"These artworks are a power statement, I want the words “we are on stolen land” to stop people in their tracks in the hope it makes people reflect on the current system and the way it historically treats Indigenous peoples across the world.
The seeds we plant now will be what changes our world. Petals are already unfurling, think about what we saw in November 2024… the Hīkoi mō te Tiriti of our Māori brothers & sisters, rising up and standing so staunch & strong in their culture. I want people to feel that energy and ask themselves what they’re going to do with it.
